How Municipal Court Warrants Work
Marion and Uniontown are the only incorporated municipalities in Perry County, and each runs a municipal court for city ordinance cases and municipal traffic matters. When someone misses a court date, a municipal judge or magistrate can issue an arrest warrant for the city offense. Most people call this a bench warrant. Perry's own traffic materials use the term alias warrant for a warrant that follows a failure to appear or pay. City process stays separate from the Circuit Court of Alabama, Fourth Judicial Circuit, Perry County, and from Perry County District Court. The Perry County Circuit Clerk, Mia Jacobs-Turner, keeps the Circuit and District Court records, while the Marion and Uniontown municipal clerks hold the city files. That split matters. A city ticket can be missing from a county court search even though the case is still open in municipal court.
Marion and Uniontown Warrant Paths
The two Perry County city court warrant paths rest on the same legal framework, but no shared database connects them. Marion posts a detailed court schedule along with its payment rules. Uniontown offers a city-linked General Court portal with ticket fields, though it never labels the tool a warrant list.
| City | Municipal Court | Warrant Matters | Phone |
|---|---|---|---|
| Marion | 123 E. Jefferson Street | City ordinances, traffic, and FTA or alias process | (334) 683-8969 |
| Uniontown | 100 Front Street | City ordinances, traffic, and missed-setting process | (334) 628-2011 |
Misdemeanor and traffic matters from unincorporated Perry County take a different route. They go through District Court, the Circuit Clerk, magistrates, and the Sheriff's Office as the case type requires.
Municipal Courts Across Perry County
The official county municipality list names only Marion and Uniontown. A short list makes jurisdiction easier to trace, but you still need to know which agency wrote the citation and which court set the date. Marion Municipal Court sits in City Hall at 123 East Jefferson Street, and its official page sets court for the second Thursday at 3:00 p.m. Uniontown Municipal Court meets in the municipal building at 100 Front Street. The Uniontown court page gives the main city telephone, but it publishes no warrant window, recall form, bond schedule, or fee schedule. Neither city puts out an active-warrant roster. A name or ticket missing from one channel proves nothing about a case the other court still holds.
Marion City Court Warrant Authority
Marion Ordinance Chapter 7.5 gives the municipal court jurisdiction over city ordinances and over state misdemeanors made city offenses. It also lays out affidavit-based authority for the municipal judge to issue arrest and search warrants. Alabama Rule 18 adds more: a municipal magistrate may issue arrest warrants, set bail, approve recognized forms of security, grant personal-recognizance release, and receive traffic pleas. The official ordinance text records that authority at the program level and displays no private warrant record.

That authority to issue warrants does not add up to a public online list. Status and recall questions still go to the Marion clerk, not to any Perry County database.
Perry County Municipal Warrant Checks
Begin with the issuing city and the original citation. Have the full legal name, date of birth, ticket or case number, alleged offense, and court date in hand. A city payment portal can pull up a ticket. Only the clerk can say whether an alias warrant hangs on the case and what the judge requires next in a Perry County municipal court.
- For Marion, read the official Municipal Court page, then call (334) 683-8969. The linked nCourt channel is for payment, not warrant certification.
- For Uniontown, use the General Court ticket search with last name plus ticket or case number, or last name plus date of birth.
- Call Uniontown at (334) 628-2011 after any portal result and ask about warrant, FTA, recall, appearance, and clearance status.
- If police routing is needed, Marion Police uses (334) 683-9072 and Uniontown Police uses (334) 581-5144. No separate warrant line is posted.
- For county or unserved arrest process, call the Perry County Sheriff at (334) 683-6534 before following the official in-person instruction at 202 Pickens Street.
Note: Alabama offers no public statewide warrant search, and the city payment tools are no substitute for confirmation from the issuing court.
Uniontown Ticket Search Fields
Uniontown's portal is the most detailed public city search interface in Perry County, and it offers two routes. One pairs Last Name with Ticket Number or Case Number. The other pairs Last Name with Date of Birth. Each route has its own Search button. A Login control sits on the page, but nothing says a login is needed for the basic search.
| Field | Route | Published Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Last Name | Both search routes | No partial-match rule shown |
| Ticket or Case Number | Search by ticket | No warrant filter shown |
| Date of Birth | Search by DOB | No active or recalled toggle |
| Search | Both routes | No public roster or export |
The portal home also handles payment and offers a voice route at (334) 203-9736. Paying a ticket does not automatically recall a warrant unless the Uniontown court confirms it.

The field screen helps retrieve a case, but it shows no Perry County municipal warrant roster.
Municipal Warrants: What They Show
No Perry County city publishes a sample warrant listing. Alabama forms and the local ticket channels support only a schema-style inventory, since the actual fields depend on the warrant and the issuing municipal court.
| Ticket or cause number | The city case identifier, represented only as CITY CASE NUMBER. |
|---|---|
| Person identifier | Name and DOB used to match the person's own case. |
| Charge | Municipal ordinance, city traffic offense, or FTA-related process. |
| Issuing court | Marion Municipal Court or Uniontown Municipal Court. |
| Financial terms | Case-specific fine, costs, or bond, not a countywide amount. |
| Status | Issued, served, recalled, returned, or other court wording. |
Perry's unserved-warrant rule also matters here. The county magistrate page states that an arrest warrant stays out of public view until served, so no request or portal truly opens that protected process.
Marion Warrant Payment Limits
Marion publishes more payment detail than Uniontown does. The court takes money orders or cashier's checks by mail and links an online service. No personal checks and no cash. The city also lists charges that require an appearance in person: attempting to elude, leaving the scene, reckless driving, and DUI. The Marion court source keeps the schedule and contact details tied to the official city page.

A missed Marion setting calls for a talk with the clerk about payment eligibility, a new date, recall, and whether personal appearance is still required in this Perry County court.
Clearing a Municipal Court Warrant
Each municipal warrant belongs to the city court that issued it. Paying an eligible ticket covers the fine, yet it may not wipe out every duty to appear or recall the warrant right away. Only the issuing court can confirm what remains open. No Perry County city has posted a single recall form or a safe-surrender promise, so call the court clerk first.
- Confirm the city, case number, exact warrant label, current status, and any mandatory appearance.
- Ask whether payment, a new date, bond, judicial recall, or counsel-assisted appearance is required.
- Use only the city's official payment path when the clerk confirms eligibility.
- Appear as directed and address the underlying ordinance or traffic charge.
- Obtain a receipt, recall order, docket confirmation, and any license clearance.
Warning: A portal payment does not prove that a city warrant has been recalled. Confirm the result directly with the municipal clerk.
City Warrants and Perry County Service
City judges and magistrates in Marion and Uniontown issue municipal warrants, and any authorized Alabama officer can serve them. City police handle most, the sheriff can too, and Rule 3.3 lets Alabama law-enforcement officers execute warrants and return the date and manner of service. Perry County publishes no combined roster of every city warrant. The official Uniontown Police page offers the city law-enforcement contact, not a list of names.

Verify any city record with its own municipal court. The sheriff route fits county process and any service or surrender steps that office handles. A blank result in the Perry County most-wanted discussion proves nothing, since the county posts no official warrant roster covering Uniontown and Marion cases.
Perry County Municipal Warrant Records
Need a copy of a served city warrant? Ask the municipal clerk which request method and fee apply. The Perry County Circuit Clerk's copy form stops at county records; it cannot produce municipal files, federal files, or records from another county. That line matters because a county request alone is not a full city warrant check. The Alabama Open Records Law still allows limits on unserved warrants and on juvenile, youthful-offender, sealed, or protected material. Request only the record you need for a civic purpose, and treat the issuing court's response as the answer.
